GILMAN SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDY ABROAD: The scholarship competition is for students who are interested in participating in a study abroad program during the Fall 2007 term. The program provides up to $5,000 for students to Study Abroad. A student from the Homestead campus was awarded $4,000 to study in Australia this semester.

There is an application process; all applications are due by APRIL 3, 2007.

We will be having a workshop at the end of the month to walk students through the application process. This is a very important workshop, especially for those who are looking to apply for study abroad and scholarships for the Fall Term. We will be covering all of the ins and outs of the application process and essays. The workshop is bound to be very helpful for this competition and other scholarship opportunities that may arise. The workshop will take place on Tuesday, February 27, 2007. Time and place are to be announced. Students may sign up by contacting Magnolia Hernández directly (mherna14@mdc.edu or (305) 237-3008).
